Do I need a Wi-Fi connection at my location
Yes. Smart systems require a good Wi-Fi signal for operation. While many cellular broadband router connections are suitable, signal fading is a problem during rainy and cloudy conditions as you may have experienced with your TV and internet connections in the past. It is recommended that a fiber optic internet connection be installed for worry free operation.

Wi-Fi Mesh and ZigBee communication systems are available if your location does not have Fiber Optic Internet.

All Five Star Security Alarm systems are equipped with dual communications capabilities with Wi-Fi that is backed up by 4G Cellular Network for reliable fail safe alarm communication to a designated Central Alarm Monitoring station, Your Smart phones, and your neibhors and friends on their phone or mobile numbers.
